Frequently Asked Questions
How Task Collective works, who it’s for, and what to expect when working together.
What kind of businesses do you work with?
We work with established small businesses that feel held back by a lack of structure, time, or capacity.
Most clients know what they want to achieve - they just need help implementing it properly.
What can you help with?
I help established small businesses implement what they already know needs to happen, but don’t have the time or capacity to execute.
This often includes operational setup, systems and workflows, documentation, team foundations, or rolling out projects that support growth.
Rather than offering individual services, the work is shaped around what will make the biggest difference to the business at the time.
What does “project-based” support mean?
Project-based support means we agree upfront on what needs to be done, how long it will take, and what the outcome will be. I then implement the work, roll it out with you, and hand it back so your business can run without ongoing external support.
How do we get started?
We start with a conversation to understand what’s currently holding your business back and what you want to achieve. From there, we will create a clear scope of work and organise next steps if we’re the right fit.
Can you help if I already have a business coach or mentor?
Yes. Many clients work with a coach or mentor. We can work alongside them to help implement their recommendations, so plans don’t stall due to lack of time or capacity.
Do you help with admin, HR, marketing or CRM Softwares?
These areas often form part of a project, depending on what the business needs. Rather than offering standalone services, we focus on implementing what’s required to support the business as a whole.
We’re familiar with a range of CRM, job management and operational systems commonly used by service-based businesses, including platforms such as Aroflo, Simpro and ServiceM8. Where possible, we work within your existing systems to minimise disruption and keep things practical.
How long do projects usually run?
Project length varies depending on scope, but most engagements are short to medium term. The focus is always on implementation and handover, not ongoing involvement.
Are you a business coach or consultant?
No. We don’t provide coaching or advisory services. Our role is focused on implementation and delivery - helping put things in place so your business can move forward.
Do you work remotely or in person?
Most work is completed remotely, with on-site support available when required. This is always discussed upfront and aligned to the project scope.
What if I’m not sure what I need help with yet?
That’s okay. Many clients know something needs to change but aren’t sure where to start. We can talk through what’s currently causing friction and identify what would make the biggest difference.
Ready to talk next steps?
If this sounds like the kind of support your business needs, you can get in touch to discuss your situation and see whether we’re the right fit.
